The Blood Pressure package is aimed at diagnosing blood pressure problems and ensuring long term good control. High blood pressure also known as “hypertension” is common and is known as the silent killer as the patient generally does not feel any symptoms at all. Hypertension causes strokes, heart problems and many other consequences on the body which can be devastating to ones health. 

There are sometimes dangerous secondary causes of high blood pressure and we tend to test for this as well as some of these secondary causes are reversible and curable. 

Blood pressure always changes constantly in response to the external environment and emotions. A one off high or low reading is therefore not a problem. It is only a cause for concern when on average your blood pressure is high. This is why clinical guidance from NICE tell us doctors to ensure that before making a diagnosis we need to see your readings over a 7 day period before coming to a diagnosis and starting treatment.
