Dr G Shalom
Dr. Gadi Shalom is a General Practitioner with a specialist interest in mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders, combining extensive experience in emergency medicine, psychiatry, and general practice. He qualified with an MBChB from the University of Liverpool in 2015 and is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). He has been fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) since 2015.
Dr. Shalom’s early career was rooted in emergency medicine, where he worked for several years in high-pressure A&E departments before undertaking specialist placements in psychiatric hospitals, including Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU), as part of his GP training. His breadth of clinical exposure has shaped his unique expertise at the intersection of physical and mental health.
Between 2018 and 2022, Dr. Shalom was actively involved in medical education, teaching undergraduate medical students and mentoring college students aspiring to study medicine.
Now specialising in mental health within general practice, Dr. Shalom regularly leads clinics focused on the diagnosis and management of depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. His principal area of interest lies in neurodevelopmental medicine, with a clinical and academic focus on ADHD and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). He has a particular interest in the neurophysiology of dopamine dysregulation in the prefrontal cortex and corpus callosum—core areas implicated in attentional control, emotional regulation, and executive function.
Dr. Shalom also has a strong personal and academic interest in psychology and cognitive science. He is currently authoring a forthcoming book titled Human Error, which explores the psychological patterns behind decision-making, behavioural fallibility, and the often-misunderstood mechanisms of the human mind.
In 2024, Dr. Shalom established his own private GP service, The Doctors Clinics, and in 2025 opened the first Prestwich branch in Prestwich village called The Doctor Clinics to serve the local community. As Clinical Director, he leads the delivery of high-quality, personalised healthcare, combining evidence-based medicine with compassionate, neurodiversity-informed care.
